Sonia Mejias is a Learning and Organizational Effectiveness professional who provides executive coaching and business consulting services. She leverages over 25 years of global business experience in addition to a plethora of tools to support the development and coaching process of professionals and businesses. She creatively identifies methods for improving staff productivity and organizational behavior. She has extensive experience in design, delivery, evaluation of global coaching and learning programs. Sonia is bilingual and is fluent in Spanish.
Sonia has a consultative approach and has partnered with senior business leaders to develop annual learning strategies, underpinned by key business priorities, people and capability challenges, creating relevant learning solutions and delivering plans accordingly. She has co-facilitated leadership training for numerous managers enabling them to leverage new tools and models leading to increased staff engagement and performance. She developed and facilitated a coaching training program that taught ICF coaching competencies, resulting in senior executives improving their safety-related conversations with global refinery managers, leading to improved safety culture within refineries.
She has taught technical classes around the globe. As a learning consultant, she managed a course portfolio consisting of 25 technical courses and was part of team that delivered technical training for 5K Shell Global Solutions staff.
Sonia began her corporate career with Deloitte as a Senior Learning Consultant where for five years she designed learning solutions for global Fortune 100 companies. As both an employee and consultant for 23 years at Royal Dutch Shell, she was a Learning Advisor and Coach to mid/senior leaders. Her work spanned the US, Europe, Malaysia, Mexico and Central America.
Sonia is passionate about helping businesses prosper by helping them build a coaching culture within their organizations through individual coaching, team coaching, experiential workshops and facilitated peer-coaching circles that effectively and efficiently increase the quality of the conversations and elevate trust in any enterprise.
