Shannon Bruce, CPCC, PCC is a passionate Professional Certified Coach whose work inspires transformational change in her clients and their companies. With more than two decades of experience in management and executive leadership, Shannon is a powerful listener, able to challenge the status quo.
Her coaching and facilitation clients rave about her ability to motivate them to always drive toward excellence. As CEO of StoryBridge, Inc. she acts as a catalyst for Conscious Culture Change, creating communities within organizations and building cohesive, high performing teams. Clients say she has helped them achieve accelerated trust, improved relationships, as well as bottom-line business results.
Shannon is a lifelong learner, always adding to her tool kit, able to bring deeper understanding and knowledge to her diverse clients. She uses neuroscience and coaching to empower leaders to raise their Conversational Intelligence®. The result? A renewed team synergy, and a greater “we” focus in the company’s culture.
From a practical perspective, daily cross-functional communication improves. Individuals are more engaged and have a greater awareness of how their behavior impacts the team and the organization’s success.
Face it: Change is hard. Most of us instinctively shy away from change, even when we understand it would better our circumstances. Perhaps Shannon’s greatest strength is her ability to create a safe environment for individuals and teams to address the so-called elephants in the room—the things that are holding a team back from success.
With a unique blend of compassion and truth telling, she reveals engagement patterns that unknowingly erode trust and hinder both relationships and performance. Shannon creates partnerships with clients, working side-by-side to design new ways of interacting, allowing teams to execute the work with greater empathy, innovation, and vitality. The outcome is highly engaged employees and teams that trust one another and work well together.
Shannon’s resume reveals a richness of experience that helps her quickly engage in any industry. She was a CPA with Ernst & Young, an executive with two wholesale distribution companies, and an entrepreneur who has launched multiple business start-ups. Her client list includes: healthcare, construction, banking, architecture, libraries, escrow and title insurance, and city ports—corporate, nonprofits, and government.
She has a degree in business from Washington State University, and certification in coaching from Coaches Training Institute. She is credentialed as a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation and recently became one of the first to receive the designation of Certified Conversational Intelligence® Coach using the framework developed by Judith E. Glaser.
Through Excell Puget Sound, she facilitates a CEO and Executive peer group of 10 member companies. She has partnered with her clients to elevate the skills of leaders as a Licensed Facilitator of the Path Forward Leadership Workshop and uses diagnostics tools that reveal team dynamics as an Authorized Facilitator of the Team Diagnostic™ Assessment offered by Team Coaching International.
Shannon believes in giving back to her community and is on the Steering Committee of the Kitsap Business Forum; she is also raising awareness and funds to fight against human sex trafficking.
