Melanie is a seasoned training and development professional and a certified executive coach. She enjoyed 16 years at Bayer Healthcare as the Training and Development Manager, Diabetes Care Division, implementing strategic initiatives that resulted in a higher level of competence throughout the organization.
It is here, where she developed her passion for coaching both sales and management for higher performance, and leadership development to move the full organization to a higher level. Prior to that, Melanie worked at the Canadian Diabetes Association’s national office developing service programs and educational materials for people affected by diabetes.
After working for over 25 years in both non-profit and corporate, Melanie embarked on a journey of personal and professional development to obtain several certifications to support her in the next leg of her journey as an entrepreneur. During this time, she launched a coaching and leadership development business called “What Not To Yell Inc”, with a mission of “transforming the adult experience in youth sports, 1 adult at a time”. She believes that “crap” happens, and it is how we experience the crap that matters. She has a unique way of bringing leadership development to any arena (pun intended) and thrives on helping people through the “crap”.
Melanie’s certification in Executive Coaching, Conversational Intelligence®, Effective Intelligence®, and Barrett Value Centre Transformational Tools, and HeartMath®, support her clients in finding both clarity and resilience in difficult situations.
In her “off time”, Melanie continues to build her certification bank, and is currently working on her level 5 for Healing Touch Therapy and volunteering at Wellsprings to support cancer patients through their treatment journey. She volunteers with the Ontario Lacrosse Association as a local Board Executive and a provincial tournament volunteer. She enjoys raising her 3 boys in Caledon, Ontario and indulging her passion for gardening, cycling and practicing her own energy management!
