Gwen Mitchell is the President at 3rdI Business Solutions Inc. Prior to being rebranded as 3rdI it was called VertiSales, Inc., which she founded in 1999.
As a user experience (UX/CX) executive with 20+ years of on-time, budget positive, delivery of mission critical multi-million dollar projects. Gwen aligned stakeholder engagement with IT solutions. Integration of overall corporate goals and mission is the value-add that makes her unique in the tech space. A cross-functional leader able to collaborate and motivate world-class teams, she has turned challenges into innovative solutions for Fortune 1000 companies.
She has a record of transforming legacy processes into state-of-the-art art operations. As a trusted advisor and business partner she leads by example empowering her teams to creatively problem solve. Gwen’s successes include infrastructure design, process reengineering, and turnaround management.
Prior to becoming CEO and founder of 3rdI, Ms. Mitchell spent fifteen years in progressively larger leadership roles with Fortune 500 companies such as General Motors, Ernest & Young, Upjohn and Air Liquide. During here corporate career she developed a reputation for judicious use of resources, and the ability to transform million dollar projects. Her work has directly benefited customers, contractors, and employees of her client organizations.
Ms. Mitchell’s early business career began in the family owned manufacturing and distribution business, where she learned the value of creating a quality product, operating efficiently, and always focusing on customer experience. This early indoctrination into the business world ingrained a desire to learn the various facets of business operations, and provided the foundation of how Ms. Mitchell approaches each new business challenge with her intrinsic flair for innovation, creative problem-solving and calculated risk-taking to drive consistent bottom-line improvements.
Along with her corporate achievements, Ms. Mitchell is commitment to community service. In addition to being the founder, current Chairperson, and President of “Texans for Dental Reform”, an advocacy organization for consumer protection in the dental industry; she is also the co-founder, adviser, and business partner to “Real Initiative Giving Help Today – (R.I.G.H.T)”, which focuses on the needs of our most vulnerable youth.
Ms. Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Bowling Green University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Bowling Green University. She also has earned her Project Management Certification (PMP) from Project Management Institute and Certified Process Professional Champion from BP Group.
