She is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators (chosen to deliver a breakout session at the IABC 2017 World Conference in Washington), the Canadian Psychological Association, and the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University (business psychology) and Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (Organisational and Social Psychology). The focus of Amy’s master’s thesis was on communicator through culture change at a luxury restaurant company undergoing 50% growth in one year.
Amy has intentionally and consistently sought a global perspective and the most advanced understanding of human behaviour. A professional communicator for nearly a decade in financial services and publishing (including during a CEO transition and major turnover period), Amy has been an independent professional coach focusing on communicating through change since 2014.
Amy’s passion is creating cultures of healthier communication at work, at home and at large so we all get along and get things done better (with greater humanity). She complements her certifications with alternative approaches including Emergent Essence Dynamics (EED), hypnotherapy, meditation, yoga, Access Consciousness, Reiki, naturopathy and nutrition.
Amy believes we can co-create the world we want to live in one conversation at a time. Conscious communication is the most powerful way to bridge perceived gaps, empower, and build healthy people, workplaces, communities, even countries.
As daughter to a mother who survived three cancers, and as a corporate communicator who transitioned to entrepreneurship, home birth and motherhood herself, Amy is passionate about helping people connect to their full resourcefulness for successful transitions at and outside of work.
Integrating female leadership more fully is a cornerstone of Amy’s work. From a family of entrepreneurs, Amy particularly enjoys partnering with entrepreneurial spirits willing to try things differently for greater leaps in growth and possibility.
She loves being out in nature with her son and husband to restore, reconnect, and rebalance. Together, they are training for a 10k run, practicing daily meditation, considering family kung fu!, and planning their next camping trip.
