Catherine has 30 years’ experience of human resources (HR) and personal development, holds an MA in Leadership Studies from the University of Exeter and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
She started her career at the retailer Marks and Spencer, as a management trainee, progressing through a range of HR and commercial roles in both stores and head office culminating as Head of Change in the International Division.
She was in the first group of leaders to be trained as an internal coach, skills which were fundamental to her success in delivering effective and lasting change in the Commercial Operations and International Divisions.
For the past 11 years Catherine has been working as an executive coach and change management consultant. She coaches directors, business owners and senior leaders to develop their personal effectiveness and ultimately achieve their business and personal objectives.
She works with teams to deliver lasting and successful change within their organisations, whilst supporting and guiding leaders through the change management process. Latterly she has been supporting individuals through career coaching – those who are looking to make a career change, younger people at the start of their careers and women returning to work after maternity leave or a career break.
Since 2010 Catherine has worked with forward thinking inc, (a consultancy based in Richmond, Surrey), on workplace change projects for clients including Microsoft and Cisco and broader change projects, including acquisition integration programmes and cultural alignment, for a major business services client.
The knowledge and skills that Catherine has developed through the C-IQ training and certification process have significantly developed her coaching expertise and practice. If you would like to see if Catherine is the right coach to work with you contact her to arrange a complimentary introductory session (face to face, via skype or telephone) and she will listen to find out what you would like to get from coaching and whether she would be the right coach to work with you.
Catherine lives in Twickenham, south-west London with her husband Jonathan and their three teenage children. She enjoys spending time outdoors, walking their dog Stella in Bushy and Richmond Parks, running (slowly!) and rowing, a sport which she took up just two years ago, at Twickenham Rowing Club on the River Thames.
She volunteers as a school governor, loves watching live sport, makes time to spend with family and friends and visits the theatre and cinema (hello to Jason Isaacs) as often as she can. And she makes a mean lemon drizzle cake!
